Wearable GPS Bands to help Trackmen enhance safety

Wearable tech has found a key use — to make Indian Railways safer.

To ensure those responsible for the upkeep of tracks are doing their duty, railway authorities have come up with a wearable GPS device, resembling a fitness band, for track maintainers, earlier known as gangmen.

The track maintainers have to keep the device on during duty hours and their movement can be traced through a mobile application IR-PMS (Indian Railway Patrolling Monitoring System). The move is also aimed at preventing seniors from asking track staff to do odd jobs.

“This has been done to ensure that the gangmen are doing their job and also it will help them in sending alerts in case they find a problem with the track,” a railway spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Indian Railways, the world’s fourth-largest rail network, which carries 23 million people daily, has seen a lot of wear and tear over the years, as the bulk of the network was laid during the British time.

The government has turned to tech and innovation to expand the network and also to make it safe.

The app will allow senior officials to monitor the location and speed of the person carrying the GPS device. In case of an emergency, a trackman can send a text message or make a call that goes directly to officials concerned with track safety and the control room.

Around 600 track staffs of the Bhopal division of the Western Railways are already using the GPS device and there are plans to take it to the country’s remaining divisions, a rail ministry official said on condition of anonymity.

“The execution will start by the end of this year and depending on the response, more employees — keymen, patrolmen, ticket checkers, etc — will be given GPS bands,” the official said.

The app also allows direct communication with the person wearing the device through registered mobile numbers, another ministry official said, requesting not to be identified.

“A report containing all relevant information is generated and saved for further analysis. For instance, if during inspection, some deficiency is found, the next person on patrolling can check whether it has been rectified. The history of the inspection will be useful for repair,” the official said.

The trial run, on since January, has been good. Based on feedback, new features are being added to the app.

There are about 200,000 gangmen, many of whom also man gates at rail crossings besides patrolling tracks.

पश्चिम रेलवे महिला कल्याण संगठन की मुंबई मंडल इकाई तथा “आई कैन विन फाउंडेशन” के सहयोग से महिला कर्मचारियों तथा समिति के सदस्यों के हित में मुंबई सेन्ट्रल स्थित मंडल रेल प्रबंधक कार्यालय के गूंज सभागृह में शुक्रवार, 20 अप्रैल 2018 को स्तन स्वजागरुकता शिविर का आयोजन किया गया । पश्चिम रेलवे महिला कल्याण संगठन, चर्चगेट की सदस्या श्रीमती रश्मि मिश्रा की पहल से आयोजित इस शिविर में प्रख्यात कैंसर सर्जन तथा जे.पी.अस्पताल के अपर महानिदेशक डॉ. पवन गुप्ता ने इससे संबंधित एक घंटे तक का प्रस्तुतीकरण दिया, जिसके अंतर्गत इस  बीमारी के मुख्य कारणों, लक्षणों तथा इसकी सरल स्वपरीक्षा की तकनीकी जानकारी दी गई । श्री गुप्ता ने बीमारी की रोकथाम के लिए महिलाओं को अपनी जीवनशैली  बदलने पर जोर दिया । इस जागरुकता शिविर में लगभग 80 महिला रेल कर्मियों ने भाग लिया । इस शिविर में महिला कर्मचारियों को स्तन कैंसर पर नःशुल्क लीफलेट तथा तंबाकू से बचने के  बुकलेट (युवाओं को जागरुक करने हेतु)वितरित किए गए । कैंसर के प्रति किसी शंका को दूर करने हेतु एक प्रश्नोत्तरी सत्र का भी आयोजन किया गया । पश्चिम रेलवे महिला कल्याण संगठन, मुंबई मंडल की अध्यक्षा श्रीमती रेणु जैन ने इस आयोजन का आमंत्रण स्वीकार करने तथा रेल कर्मियों के हित में इस शिविर में व्याख्यान देने हेतु डॉ. पवन गुप्ता को धन्यवाद दिया ।

Railways to bid adieu to AC-2 Tier Coaches from Duronto and Rajdhani Express Trains

Indian Railways is planning to replace all AC 2-tier coaches from Duronto and Rajdhani express to AC 3-tier coaches in some sectors.

According to the Indian Railways official, AC-3 tier coaches always remain in demand, which helps it to raise profits or reach the break-even mark.

As per reports, this move has been initiated due to the flexi-fare system for these premier trains, which came into effect in September 2016.

After the flexi-fare system was introduced, there were times when the fare of AC-2 tier and the economy became almost equal, which resulted in low occupancy in train bookings of AC-2 tier category.

There are around 42 Rajdhani trains, 46 Shatabdi and 54 Duronto trains, and the the flexi-fare system for Rajdhani, Duronto and Shatabdi express depends on the base fare.

As per the reports, 10 percent of the seats get sold on normal fare and the rest keep increasing with every 10 percent of berths sold with the ceiling limit at maximum 50 percent. While for AC-3 tier, it was 40 percent, thus, leading to the introduction of more such coaches in these trains.

To modify further the flexi-fare system, officials said “The Railway Ministry is planning to introduce the rental slabs of Humsafar Express trains for three trains Rajdhani, Duronto and Shatabdi, where the flexi fare scheme is being implemented. The slabs will be introduced with an aim to simplify the flexi fare scheme, which has always faced criticism.”

पश्चिम रेलवे ने 2017 में 5 नई ट्रेनों के साथ हाल ही के वर्षों में वाया सूरत/उधना उत्तर प्रदेश एवं बिहार के लिए 15 नई ट्रेनें चलाई

मुंबई: पश्चिम रेलवे मुंबईसूरतउधनावडोदरा और अहमदाबाद जैसे गुजरात एवं महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न प्रमुख शहरों में रहने वाले उत्तर प्रदेश एवं बिहार प्रांत से जुड़े यात्रियों को बेहतर सेवाएं एवं सुविधाएं पहुँचाने के लिए हमेशा प्रतिबद्ध रहीं है । यह इस बात से सिध्द हो जाता है कि इन यात्रियों की  सुविधा के लिए वर्ष 2017 में 5 नई ट्रेनों के साथ हालही के वर्षों में पश्चिम रेलवे द्वारा उत्तर प्रदेश एवं बिहार के लिए15 नई ट्रेनें शुरु की गई । जुड़वा शहर उधनासूरत टेक्सटाईल एवं हीरा उद्योगों की  वजह से प्रमुख वाणिज्य हब है जो उत्तर प्रदेश एवं बिहार राज्यों से जुड़ी श्रम शक्ति  को आकर्षित करता हैजिसकी वजह से गुजरात राज्य की  आर्थिक प्रगति में इनका विशेष योगदान रहा है ।

पश्चिम रेलवे के मुख्य जनसंपर्क अधिकारी श्री रविन्द्र भाकर द्वारा जारी एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार गत वर्षों में शुरु की गई 15 नई ट्रेनों में से निम्न 4 ट्रेनें सूरत/उधना से शुरु होती हैं। 1) ट्रेन सं 19053 सूरतमुज़फ्फरपुर जंक्शन साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस, 2) ट्रेन सं 19057 उधनावाराणसी साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस, 3) ट्रेन सं 19063 उधनादानापुर द्विसाप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस एवं 4) ट्रेन सं 15563 उधनाजयनगर साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस । इसके अतिरिक्त अहमदाबादवडेदरा से वाया सूरत चलनेवाली 3 ट्रेनें है 1. ट्रेन सं 22967 अहमदाबादइलाहाबाद साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस, 2. ट्रेन नं अहमदाबाददरभंगा साप्ताहिक एक्सप्रेस तथा 3. वडेदरा –वाराणसी महामना एक्सप्रेस । शेष 8 ट्रेनें मुंबई या अहमदाबाद से शुरू होकर गोरखपुरपटनाझांसीरामनगरलखनऊकानपुरगाजीपुरसिटी जाती हैं तथा सूरत /उधना में इन ट्रेनों के निर्धारित ठहराव से सूरत /उधना के विभिन्न यात्रियों को सुविधा होती है । वर्ष 2017 में शुरु हुई कुछ ट्रेनों में आकर्षक आउटर लुक एवं उन्नत सुख सुविधाओं वाली नई महामना एक्सप्रेस एवं हमसफर एक्सप्रेस के साथ पूर्णतः अनारक्षित एवं  वाटर प्युरिफायरमोबाईल चार्जिंग पाइंटबायोटॉयलेट जैसी आधुनिक सुविधाओं वाली 2  अत्योंदय एक्सप्रेस शामिल हैं।

यह उल्लेखनीय है कि पश्चिम रेलवे गर्मियों एवं सर्दियों के साथसाथ त्यौहारों के मौसम में यात्रियों की अतिरिक्त भीड़ को देखते हुए कई स्पेशल ट्रेनें भी चलाती है । पश्चिम रेलवे ने गर्मियों की इन छुट्टियों के दौरान सूरत/उधनाअहमदाबाद/वडोदरा से अन्य स्थानों के लिए के लिए 138 फेरों सहित कुल 11 हॉलिडे स्पेशल ट्रेनें चलाई है । गत 10 वर्षों में पश्चिम रेलवे ने इन क्षेत्रों के लिए यात्रियों की अतिरिक्त भीड़ को देखते हुए 1242 स्पेशल ट्रेनें चलाई । पश्चिम रेलवे की यह विशेष चिंता  परिचालन के अन्य प्रयासों में भी देखी जा सकती है।

Revenue of East Coast Railway’s Waltair Division up by 10.82 per cent

Waltair Division of East Coast Railway recorded gross revenue of Rs 7154.99 crore during the just concluded financial year 2017-18 which is 10.82 per cent than last year’s Rs.6456.42 crore.

Informing this to reporters here on Monday, Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur said that the Division transported 56.54 million tonnes which is 7.29% higher than last year. Revenue from freight loading at Rs 6515.25 crore is an increase of 11.44% over last year’s Rs 5846.24 crores, and 4.63% over the target set for the fiscal year.

“The Division has carried 35.06 million passengers to their destination generating revenue of Rs 536.43 crore which is 7.51% more than the last year. We also achieved the best operating ratio of 35.28,” he disclosed.

Waltair Division bagged 9 Best Performance Shields, including Overall Performance Shield at the 63rd Railway Week Awards function at Zonal Head Quarters, Bhubaneswar recently. The Division’s consistent performance in all the fields applauded by the General Manager, East Coast Railway, he said.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Suneel Kumar also spoke.

Antyodaya Express becomes first paint-less train by Indian Railways

Indian Railways has launched its first ever paint-less train. Imagine a silver looking stainless-steel train running on railway tracks. Yes, the new Antyodaya Express is not the usual red or other typical Indian Railways colour, but is of shiny silver, and its no-paint exterior that actually looks classy, appealing and quite international.

Antyodaya Express is first-of-its-kind without paint train that is manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai. This 22 coaches LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) rake was handed over to the Southern Railway division of Indian Railways by the manufacturer.

The first Antyodaya Express service began in the year 2017, which had colourful paint scheme of red and yellow. Apart from being paint-less, all the features remain same in the new Antyodaya Express.

As per ICF, the new silver Antyodaya Express will be made available as an unreserved train for ‘superfast service’ and will only operate on dense routes at a speed of 120 km/hour. On Tamil New Year, it operated between Tambaram and Tirunelveli.

An ICF official said, “The advantage of a paint-less exterior coach is that it saves the cost of paint and that of refurbishing it when it is time for a upgrade”.

Prime features of the new Antyodaya Express

1) These coaches feature a ‘corrugate side wall’ having a 2 mm thick duplex stainless steel.
2) These have paint-less finish, fleet graphic and hydrophobic anti graphic stickers.
3) The roof top is coated with solar heat resistant paint.
4) The new paint less Antyodaya Express has been envisaged for unreserved passengers.
5) There are bio-toilets inside the train and cushioned seats and luggage racks.

Freight Trains on Bengaluru-Mangaluru Route – An attractive Revenue Source for both Railways and CONCOR

Nearly a year after the Shravanabelagola rail line was commissioned, cargo trains running on this shorter route between Bengaluru and Mangaluru are set to become an attractive revenue source for both the Railways and the PSU Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR). With every train that runs along the route taking more than 100 trucks off the road, this will help in reducing pollution levels and traffic in the ghat section.

From February-end, five pairs of goods trains have run between the Mangaluru Port railway station and the Satellite Goods Terminal Railway Station, Whitefield. “A chunk of the road freight traffic has now shifted to the Railways. Ceramic tiles and Polypropylene granules from Reliance from Mundra Port in Gujarat, which usually reach Mangaluru Port to be transported to Bengaluru by road, have begun taking the rail route since February-end,” Group General Manager of CONCOR’s Bengaluru unit Anup Dayanand Sadhu told The New Indian Express.

Each rake (train) is equipped with anywhere between 40 and 45 wagons and each wagon has two massive containers (TEUs) which can each accommodate 27.5 tonnes of goods . “In comparison, a truck carries a maximum of 17 tonnes. So, every train packed to capacity takes more than 100 trucks off the road,” Sadhu said.  “The cargo train presently runs empty during its return trip from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, but the cost of running it is borne by the customer,” he added.

“After the train reaches Whitefield from Mangaluru, it is delivered at the doorsteps of the consumer using trucks,” he explained.According to a top railway official, “A new logistics route has opened up. Most of the revenue made by the Railways comes from goods transportation. The potential for revenue, as it picks up, is enormous. It is also environment-friendly.” Asked about the reasons for running of services only from February though the route was opened on March 26, 2017, he said many MoUs had to be inked.

The time taken to cover the 369-km route from the Mangaluru-end is presently 18.5 hours as the packed train runs slow. But, it takes only around 17 hours from the Bengaluru-end. “The time taken by road is around 15 hours, but pilferage is a major problem in truck transportation. However, CONCOR guarantees safety of goods.”

The GM added, “We are only handling domestic freight traffic now. International logistics firms like NYK, Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will touch the Mangaluru port shortly. So, we are eyeing international business later.”  Explaining the revenue model, the CONCOR official said an income of `90 lakh has been generated through the trips completed. “CONCOR gets a 15% share while the remainder goes to the Railways.”

WR successfully places the Last Span of FOB at Elphinstone Road Station

Western Railway is becoming habitual of maximising productivity during the special blocks. In a record time of 6 hours, the Mumbai Central division of Western Railway, completed the girder launch of the second and the last span (28 meters) of the Foot Over Bridge placed at Elphinstone Road Station. This block was taken from 23.00 hrs on Saturday, 7th April, 2018 to 4.58 hrs on Sunday, 8th April, 2018 for the work and it was completed well within time.

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer of W.Rly, the remaining work of the FOB, i.e., completion of deck slab & cross bracing, covering of the Foot Over Bridge, outside stairs, platform extension etc. started from 9th April, 2018. This also includes the construction of a new Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) building and shifting the existing RRI to a new place. Previously, the steel girders were launched successfully for the first span of 12mtrs out of 40 mtrs on the night of 4th & 5th March, 2018. There were total 9 numbers of girders of overall length 40m each and weighing 26 tonnes. This bridge spans over 5 lines consisting of two columns. One of its columns lies in Western Railway while the other one lies in Central Railway. To make this task possible, a 500 tonnes capacity crane was deployed so as to enable the work at a radius of 32m and boom height of 54m.

पश्चिम रेलवे द्वारा एलफिंस्टन रोड स्टेशन पर निर्माणाधीन पैदल ऊपरी पुल हेतु अंतिम स्पैन सफलतापूर्वक रखा गया

पश्चिम रेलवे विशेष ब्लॉक अवधि के दौरान अधिकतम बेहतर उत्पादकता हासिल करने में अभ्यस्त होती जा रही है। पश्चिम रेलवे के मुंबई सेंट्रल मंडल के अंतर्गत एलफिंस्टन रोड स्टेशन पर निर्माणाधीन पैदल ऊपरी पुल के दूसरे और अंतिम 28 मीटर लम्बे स्पैन को 6 घंटे के रिकॉर्ड समय में सफलतापूर्वक स्थापित कर लिया गया। एलफिंस्टन रोड पर इस पैदल ऊपरी पुल के निर्माण के लिए शनिवार, 7 अप्रैल, 2018 की रात्रि 23.00 बजे से रविवार, 8 अप्रैल, 2018 की सुबह 4.58 बजे तक गर्डर को स्थापित करने के लिए ब्लॉक लिया गया था और यह कार्य ब्लॉक अवधि समाप्त होने से पहले ही पूर्ण कर लिया गया।

पश्चिम रेलवे के मुख्य जनसम्पर्क अधिकारी श्री रविंद्र भाकर द्वारा जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार एलफिंस्टन रोड पर निर्माणाधीन पैदल ऊपरी पुल के अन्य कार्य जैसे डेक स्लैब की पूर्णता, क्रॉस ब्रेसिंग, पैदल ऊपरी पुल को कवर करना, पुल की बाहरी सीढ़ियाँ, प्लेटफॉर्मों का विस्तार आदि 9 अप्रैल, 2018 से शुरू कर दिये गये हैं। इसके अलावा नये रूट रिले इंटरलॉकिंग बिल्डिंग का निर्माण तथा वर्तमान आरआरआई को नई जगह पर स्थानांतरित करने का कार्य भी होना है। इससे पहले 4 एवं 5 मार्च, 2018 की मध्य रात्रि को 40 मीटर में से 12 मीटर के पहले स्पैन के लिए स्टील गर्डर को सफलतापूर्वक स्थापित कर दिया गया था। 40 मीटर लम्बाई वाले गर्डरों में कुल 9 गर्डर थे, जिनका वजन 26 टन था। यह पुल पाँच रेलवे लाइनों पर स्थित दो कॉलमों पर बनाया गया है। इस पुल का एक कॉलम पश्चिम रेलवे में जबकि दूसरा कॉलम मध्य रेल के अंतर्गत आता है। इस महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य को पूरा करने के लिए 500 टन क्षमता वाली क्रेन का इस्तेमाल किया गया, जिससे 32 मीटर रेडियस के दायरे तथा 54 मीटर लम्बाई वाले बूम से कार्य किया जा सका।

WR witnesses noteworthy reduction in consequential incidents during 2017-18 due to various Safety measures

The performance of Western Railway in safety matters has been commendable for the financial year 2017-18. A 37% fall in consequential cases (major untoward incidents) has been registered, i.e. 5 against 8 such cases in the last year. In total, non-consequential cases have been reduced by 20% when compared to last year. Derailment cases have gone down by 50% in consequential derailments and 33%  in non-consequential derailment cases.

According to a press release by Shri Ravinder Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, 19% more blocks were undertaken than the last corresponding year. W.Rly. undertook 114,276 hours of block which resulted in substantial increase in the track renewals, deep screening and welding of joints. Even machines used in maintenance and track renewals received a 15% increase in the blocks granted which showed an overall improvement of 30% in the performance of track machine.

Shri Bhakar further stated that Western Railway has also formulated a Signal Passing at Danger (SPAD) Action Plan in which a “Coloured Signal Booklet” has been prepared and issued to all Running staff for better LRD and reference at hand. The booklet includes signal charts of all lines, signal number, type number of aspects, location, details of routes, subsidiary signals, controlling station, visibility, etc. Another booklet is issued to all Running Staff which contains all safety related rules and instruction for a safe train operation. According to the action plan, all newly promoted Loco Pilots are monitored for their first 15/20 trips on loaded goods trains. Recommendations made by the Signal Sighting Committee for identifying conflicting signals are also being implemented. As per the directives from the Railway Board, WR has deputed safety teams for auditing of works in various depots and loco sheds. The need for upgradation of Running Rooms for Loco Pilots and Guards has been sanctioned at a total cost of Rs. 225 crores. This work includes air-conditioning of 45 Running Rooms. Western Railway has made 100% utilisation of funds of Rs. 1241 crores of the Rashtriya Railway Sanraksha Kosh (RRSK). W.Rly. has also completed 486 Tkms. of Track renewals against the target of 420 Tkms for the year 2017-18 registering an excess of 62.70% Tkms, i.e., 116%.

All these measures have led WR to achieve its respective targets for major safety works like TRR, Deep Screening, USFD testing and replacement of UMLC. WR completed 761 km. of Deep Cleaning which has been recorded the highest ever on Western Railway.

Western Railway launch Drive against people travelling wrongly in Reserved Coaches for Divyangs

Western Railway has launched regular drives against able-bodied persons travelling in the reserved coaches for Divyangs. During the year 2017, a total of 39,602 persons and in the year 2018, a total of 10,159 persons were prosecuted. A special week long joint drive of RPF & GRP was recently launched against unauthorised travel in compartments reserved for Divyangs. Adequate GRP/RPF personnels were deployed for nabbing all offenders travelling in coaches reserved for Divyang persons.

According to a press release issued by Shri Ravinder Bhakar, Chief Public Relations Officer of W.Rly, during the drive, 350 persons were prosecuted by GRP under Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and 995 persons were prosecuted by RPF under the Railway Act, 1989. Similarly, special RPF decoy teams were deployed in innovative manner for prevention and detection of passenger crimes after identifying vulnerable spots and studying their modus operandi. They have busted 28 notorious criminals involved in Fatka Theft/Robbery and 46 bullies for blocking doors and refusing entry to other commuters during peak hours. The Special RPF decoy team detected 68 persons involved in 66 cases of thefts/ robbery in suburban section. Close surveillance and vigilance is kept to monitor all such nuisance over Railway in suburban section. Similar drives will be continued in future for hassle free travel of ‘Divyang’ persons.

Shri Bhakar further stated that, Railway administration is planning to install CCTV in all coaches of suburban trains in near future. Visits and inspections will be regularly done by Railway Officers to sort out other technical issues and problems faced by commuters with special attention of facilities to differently abled persons.

मुंबई: पश्चिम रेलवे द्वारा दिव्यांगजनों के लिए आरक्षित डिब्बों में अवैध रूप से यात्रा करने वालों के विरुद्ध नियमित अभियान की शुरुआत की गई है। वर्ष2017 के दौरान कुल 39,602 व्यक्तियों को तथा वर्ष 2018 के दौरान कुल 10,159 व्यक्तियों को दंडित किया गया, दिव्यांगों के लिए आरक्षित कोच में अवैध रूप से यात्रा करने के विरुद्ध आरपीएफ तथा जीआरपी द्वारा हाल ही में सप्ताह भर चलने वाला एक विशेष अभियान चलाया गया। दिव्यांग डिब्बों में अवैध यात्रा करने वाले दोषियों को पकड़ने हेतु पर्याप्त संख्या में जीआरपी/आरपीएफ कर्मी तैनात किये गये थे।

पश्चिम रेलवे के मुख्य जनसम्पर्क अधिकारी श्री रविंद्र भाकर द्वारा जारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार अभियान के दौरान दिव्यांगजनों के अधिकार एक्ट2016 के अंतर्गत जीआरपी द्वारा 350 व्यक्तियों को तथा रेल अधिनियम 1989 के अंतर्गत आरपीएफ द्वारा 995 व्यक्तियों को पकड़ा गया। इसी प्रकार सम्भावित क्षेत्रों तथा उनकी प्राथमिक पहचान के पश्चात अपराधों की रोकथाम एवं पड़ताल हेतु अभिनव तरीकों से आरपीएफ की विशेष डिकॉय टीमों को तैनात किया गया। इस टीम ने फटका डकैती/चोरी में संलिप्तता के 28 गम्भीर अपराधियों तथा व्यस्त समय में दरवाजे पर अवरोध उत्पन्न करने एवं अन्य यात्रियों को प्रवेश न करने देने वाले 48 गुंडों को गिरफ्तार किया। आरपीएफ की डिकॉय टीम ने उपनगरीय खंड में चोरी/डकैती के 66 मामलों में संलिप्त 68 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया। रेलवे के उपनगरीय खंड पर ऐसे सभी अपराधों की गहन चौकसी एवं मॉनिटरिंग की जा रही है। ‘दिव्यांग’ यात्रियों की सहूलियतपूर्ण यात्रा हेतु निकट भविष्य में भी ऐसे अभियान जारी रहेंगे।

श्री भाकर ने बताया कि निकट भविष्य में रेल प्रशासन द्वारा उपनगरीय ट्रेनों के सभी डिब्बों में सीसीटीवी लगाने की योजना तैयार कर रही है। यात्रियों को विशेषतः दिव्यांग यात्रियों को आने वाली तकनीकी कठिनाइयों एवं समस्याओं के समाधान हेतु रेलवे अधिकारियों द्वारा नियमित दौरे एवं निरीक्षण किये जायेंगे।
